About the Webinar Series for Charlotte Employees
The Webinar Series for Charlotte Employees was developed after unprecedented numbers of employees left the University over the past couple of years (which is consistent with other institutions of higher education, as well as private corporations). Provost Emerita Joan Lorden held an online listening session in the winter of 2022 to gain a better understanding of why employees were leaving and to hear suggestions on what the administration could do to improve things.
The listening session led to the formation of a task force composed of select individuals from across campus. The task force reviewed survey data from the listening session attendees, along with employment data provided by Human Resources. As a result, the webinar series was developed by UNC Charlotte’s School of Professional Studies.
